1. Who we are
Athlete North provides commercial-development and operational support to athletes, creators and their trusted advisers. Athlete North is the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
For privacy questions or requests, email support@athletenorth.co.uk.
2. Information we collect
We may collect your name, contact details, organisation or role, information included in an enquiry, and records of our correspondence. If we work together, we may also hold project, contractual, invoicing and payment-administration information.
Our website host may process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, device information and request logs. We do not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking or automated decision-making on this website.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, discuss and deliver services, manage working relationships, keep appropriate business records, protect our website and communications, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Our lawful bases are usually legitimate interests in operating and developing our business, taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, and complying with legal obligations.
4. Who we share information with
We may use trusted providers for website hosting, business email, document storage and professional advice. We share only what is reasonably necessary and may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on an appropriate legal mechanism or safeguards provided by the relevant service provider.
5. How long we keep information
General enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months after our last contact. Records connected with clients, contracts, payments or legal obligations may be kept for up to six years after the relationship ends, or longer where reasonably required by law or an active dispute. We delete information when it is no longer needed.
6. Young people
Our work may involve young athletes, but this website is not designed to collect children’s information directly. Where a person is under 18, we expect a parent, guardian or other appropriate adult to be involved and we take additional care over how personal information is handled.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, object to certain uses, or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Contact us at support@athletenorth.co.uk to exercise a right. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
8. Updates
We may update this notice when our services or use of personal information changes. The latest version will always be published on this page.
